![]() Here's a comical vid I threw together a while back.Īnd something a bit more 'raw' (83k gold run feat. Her +Resist camping skill is also delicious for bosses, but again, there's quite a lot where you'd be better off with a different class entirely. She can generate trinkets while camping, and has a very sexy 1-point camping skill that reduces her stress by 50% for 4 battles, which is great for a character that is less likely to do lots of 'impact' kills (DoT kills don't relieve stress), especially when you have her in non-stress healing groups. This allows her to hit all ranks from her optimal positions with either impact damage or low-damage + DoT, provide off-healing if required, and otherwise provide defensive buffs or funnel damage to a more desirable target inbetween. I personally play her using Stab > Festering > Invigorating > Protect Me. She can work against numerous bosses, though as always, raw damage and other abilities tend to outweight her value unless you're one of those who have a more reactive/self-buffing style. If you're taking an Antiquarian, you're often doing it specifically to generate more gold. It's one of few heals that are both consistent and don't have any non-positoning based drawbacks, with Vestal & PD being the others, so it's always good to have no matter how low the healing throughput is. The heal itself is garbage (numbers wise), meaning it's not great even if you're stalling, but there's a wealth of trinkets that can make it comparible to an Arbalest bandage at best (minus the Arbs +Healing buff of course), so it's not terrible by any means. She also has anti-stealth capabilities, as well as an answer for Deaths Door. Even if you aren't using it with the intention of enforcing Riposte, it still provides the target with a Prot & Dodge buff that can be stacked with itself and other buffs. She's one of only three classes with a variation of Guard - but the fact her's does the reverse makes it unique. Some utilize her for the dodge-strat, though her best ability is Protect Me, allowing her to essentially become a HWM/MAA in terms of funelling more damage onto those characters and having them counter-attack in her stead. I'd use something like Ant-Arb-Occ-MaA or Ant-MaA-Cru-Occ.Īs above, she's mostly a finisher. That way her in-combat utility is comparable to Vestal, albeit with worse healing ergo it doesn't feel too much different to backrow Vestal parties. My general goal with her is to keep the other 3 class slots relatively capable stunners or damage dealers. ![]() The blight is also okay when upgraded if you have plenty of stuns. This makes her a good pair for Occultist, so that she can heal off minor scuffs while Occultist does useful things and assist in healing when Occultist decides to roll poorly. That allows you to get more damage out of Antiquarian as long as you have a party that works well with either of them.Īntiquarian's heal seems like crap at first, but the Candle of Life turns it from Death's Door removal to acceptable. There's the oft-repeated synergy with Riposte characters: have MaA or Highwayman use their riposte skill, then have Antiquarian use Protect Me on them to force more attacks onto the riposte character.
